The Skeeters Taping Policy

Audience taping is permitted and welcome at most of The Skeeters shows. For
purposes of this policy, performances by individual band members of The
Skeeters will be treated as The Skeeters shows. When The Skeeters are
performing at a festival or other event featuring multiple bands, that
particular event's policy may override The Skeeters customary taping policy.
Sound Board patches will not be made available at The Skeeters shows.
Microphones only. Be Prepared! Plan on providing your own power. In other
words, charge your batteries. We can't lend you extension cords, blank
tapes, adapters, etc.

The Skeeters reserve the right to demand that a person cease recording if
recording equipment, tripod, stands or person is interfering with the
enjoyment of others at the show. Interfering includes unduly blocking the
view of patrons at the show. The enjoyment of the audience in attendance at
a concert always takes precedence over recording efforts. This means that at
no time should tapers ever require other patrons to be quiet or otherwise
interfere with their enjoyment of the show.

The Skeeters reserve the right not to allow taping at any show where
material may be recorded for official commercial release.

Videotaping of The Skeeters shows is not permitted.

Duplication And Trading

All participants in audio recording exchange (regardless of format)
acknowledge and respect the copyrights and exclusive ownership of the music
and performances by the performers, writers and publishers. All taping must
be for personal use only, which may include trading (via analog or digital
tape, CD, or digital file transfer). Recordings may be traded only for an
equivalent amount of similar media (cassettes or CDs, pre-recorded or
blank). Regardless of any expenses incurred, no money may ever be exchanged
as part of a trade; however, stamped, self-addressed envelopes may be
included with blank media.

On August 12, 2004 Matt Martin from The Skeeters gave his OK for archive.org inclusion:

"Ty, Thanks for the info. I have looked at the site and I think it is a really good thing you are doing. The Skeeters would be happy to be involved with your project. You have our official seal of approval. Thanks for your hard work and the service you provide to music lovers. Feel free to let me know if you need anything further. Be well!

Regards, Matt Martin
